If
you are planning on making your way to watch the Olympic events next
year, but want an affordable choice of accommodation why not book
your place at the temporary caravan site which will be built just a
short distance away from where the games will be held.
Before
you
check into the new site however, it’s crucial that you
thoroughly test your caravan
battery
or motorhome
batteries.
If you neglect this important part of your regular maintenance you
may find that you settle into your new pitch, only to find you have
no power in your caravan- which could potentially ruin your Olympic
Games experience.
If
you do need to replace your sealed
leisure
battery
before the Olympic Games, you can purchase cheap
caravan
batteries
at Advanced Battery Supplies. You will also be able to browse their
wide range of products including competitively priced car
batterys
and 12
volt leisure batterys.
One
of the UK’s largest camp site providers has joined forces with
Olympic medal holder Sally Gunnell to construct a temporary campsite
close to where the Olympic Village will be built next year. The
Olympic Village will be built in the Olympic Park and will be made up
of numerous residential apartments, where the athletes will be
staying, as well as a number of shops, restaurants, medical buildings
and other leisure facilities set amongst a large amount of green open
space. Throughout the Olympics, the village will also provide a base
for the operations team to run the games.
This
campsite
will enable those who have tickets to the numerous Olympic
events to stay in an affordable choice of accommodation.
The
temporary site, which will be able to house a number of caravans and
motorhomes, will be in close proximity to Chigwell tube station, on
the underground’s central line. People who choose to stay on the
new campsite will be able to get to the Olympic events within
approximately a quarter of an hour.
The
campsite will open its doors to campers on the 25th
July, and will close on the 11th
September. Coincidently, the site will be constructed on the grounds
of where Sally Gunnell grew up, and where she trained at hurdling by
jumping over bales of hay.
Sally
Gunnell
has spoken publicly on the building of the site and has said
"I'm delighted The Caravan Club is operating a temporary site
for the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games on the site of
my childhood home and training ground! Old Farm holds many happy
memories for me and I am so glad I can share this with my fellow
caravanners."
