Battery Fitment Guide

Before you start

* Wear eye protection and suitable protective clothing.

* Keep children and pets away from batteries and battery acid.

* Obtain any Audio Equipment / Vehicle Alarm security codes  
   before 
disconnecting the battery. 

* Always consult your car handbook for any additional requirements.

Installation

1. Do not place any tools on top of the battery that could cause a short circuit.

2. Remove the battery hold down / clamp.


3. Disconnect the negative battery lead first.


4. Disconnect the positive lead.


5. Remove the old battery from the car.  Put the new battery in its place ensuring
    the battery's terminals are in the same orientation as the old battery.


6. Connect the positive lead to the new battery first.

7. Connect the negative lead.


8. Re-attach the battery hold down / clamp.


9. Cover the terminals with grease to avoid corrosion.

10. Re-Set any Audio Equipment / Vehicle Alarm security codes.

Explosion Hazard
 
When charging batteries a gas called Oxyhydrogen is formed.  DO-NOT smoke or expose a charging battery to any form of spark or naked flame.  Be careful of any electrostatic discharges from any other equipment that you are using and avoid any possible short circuits.
