Car BatteriesHelp
when choosing your car battery
To most people one
car battery looks like another, but which is the right one for
you?
Our car
battery finder has been designed
carefully to enable the narrowing down process. All of the
batteries that we have linked to car models throughout our website have
been carefully researched using manufacturer data. For most
circumstances this will yield the correct answer.
However,
occasionally, car manufacturers have varied the type of car battery
installed in a particular vehicle or its previous owner has installed a
different battery.
Are car batteries easy to fit?
Your car or van battery can be swapped in just a few minutes. To find out how click HERE
How
then
do I make sure that I am choosing the right car battery for my
vehicle?
If your vehicle cannot be found in our
battery finder or the battery installed in it does not match what you
see on screen then we firstly recommend looking at other vehicles made
by the same manufacturer during the same time period. For example
- if your car is a Vauxhall Astra 1.8 petrol and the results from our
website do not match your current battery we would recommend looking
at the Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 petrol and also the Vauxhall Zafira 1.8
petrol listings.
As a general rule car manufacturers tend
to match up certain engine sizes with certain car battery types or
sizes. So, by cross-referring what the car manufacturer fits to
other vehicles from the same generation it is easily possible to narrow
down your car battery options.

In most cases we are able to trace your
vehicle by accessing an online database. From here we can tell
the make, model, engine size and equipment level of your car, mpv, 4x4
or van and match up the correct battery.
