Which battery charger is right for me ?

Is there much difference between a Trickle Charger and a Battery Charger ?

A battery Trickle Charger only keeps batteries topped up and is not ideal for charging heavily drained batteries.
A dedicated battery charger will do the job better. Our CTEK range comine the two.

How could I tell if my battery had failed / was no longer reliable ?

Lead Acid car batteries tend to suffer from sulphation. Symptoms, other than loss of performance include the battery becoming unusually hot to the touch during charging and smelling of rotten eggs.
